AGNP Certificate

The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Post-Master's Certificate program prepares students for diagnosis and management of common and complex medical conditions in patients 13 and older.

Please note: Because of individual state nursing board regulations, this program is limited to residents of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.  

AGNP Certificate Certification & Career

Graduates meet criteria to take the certification exam to become an Adult-Gero Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).

  • 2020 American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification Pass Rate: 100%

These nurse practitioners work in a variety of community-based, primary care settings and are often employed in private practice offices, clinics, long-term care facilities and home care programs.

Aspiring nurse practitioners who want to work in acute care settings, such as hospitals, should instead expore the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care specialty.

AGNP Certificate Clinical Hours

Clinical placements are determined by students' areas of interest and career goals. Practica hours may be completed in most geographical locations based on ability to meet course objectives.

AGNP Certificate Curriculum

The plan of study for the program is determined at the time of acceptance and matriculation into the program. It is based on the student's previous master's coursework.
