Admission Requirements

Graduates of UC's Pediatric Acute Care NP DNP online program meet educational requirements to take the exam for national certification by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (CPNP-ACs) provide care across the continuum for children with complex acute, critical and chronic illness in order to stabilize a patient’s condition, prevent complications and restore maximum health or provide palliative care. These advanced-practice nurses work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, intensive care units, sub-specialty clinics and emergency departments.
